'Community' goes a long way when it comes to the programs set forth at the local Providence Community Library locations.
PCL isn't your typical library. They are so much more than books and a printer. They provide many various Workshops, Courses, Programs for all who are interested.
A List of some of their Events / Resources they offer:
- Author Talks / Poetry Reads
- Concerts from local musicians
- Various Art and Cultural Events
- Book Clubs
- Knitting Clubs + Sewing Classes
- Dance Classes
- Townhall Discussions for Adults + Teens
- Gardening Info Sessions
- Youth Programs
The list can go on and on from what I have personally been able to experience and witness. It is very refreshing to see such an incredible staff cater to their community, enriching those who are interested in many of their resources available.
This Saturday I am honored to be participating in a fundraiser on their behalf, and am asking for anyone who is able to help me towards reaching my donation goal to contribute to this organization. Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Providence Community Library. I am happy to face a bit of fear Rappeling down the Regency plaza in Downtown Providence while raising funds for the Providence Community Libraries. Hope to have your support!
