Providence Community Library (PCL) provides the people of Providence with a wealth of knowledge and free learning resources. Our mission is to fight low literacy and lack of opportunity, raise reading scores and help more than 178,000 library users achieve their dreams.
Your mission is to ascend to the roof, step over the edge and rappel down the 12-story, 150 feet high Regency Plaza building in Providence. The first 75 individuals to raise a minimum of $800 or more will earn a spot to go Over the Edge for PCL. The valuable funds you raise will take PCL's services to a new level and will pay for books, computers, exciting makerspace technology, innovative programming, and a whole lot more!

QUICK START FUNDRAISING: How to Raise $500 in Eight Days!
- Day 1: Start by sponsoring yourself for $25 - you'll do that just by registering!
- Day 2: Ask two family members to sponsor you for $25
- Day 3: Ask five friends to contribute $20
- Day 4: Ask 5 co-workers to contribute $10
- Day 5: Ask 5 people from your place of worship (or a membership club you attend) to contribute $10
- Day 6: Ask your manager for a company contribution of $100
- Day 7: Ask five local merchants to sponsor you for $20
- Day 8: Ask 2 local businesses you frequent (dry cleaner, hair salon, etc.) to contribute $25
- Day 9: Keep raising money by using the great ideas in our fundraising toolkit!

Team up with a friend and we will reduce the minimum amount you need to raise to #ToweringStories by $200 each. That means that you will need to raise only $600 each to go Over the Edge. Fundraise together to make it fun! On the day, we'll schedule you together so that you rappel, side-by-side, down the ropes!
